Tamir Moore-Freedman is a composer and drummer with a bachelors degree of music (with a specialization in composition) from the University of Manitoba. Tamir's music can best be described as a fusion of different styles, usually jazz and classical music, but in a fashion that tries not to call attention to its influences. Tamir started drumming at the age of seven and has been teaching drums since 2022. Tamir comes from a classic rock background but his interest in jazz grew in his late teenage years before being accepted into the jazz program at the Desautels Faculty of Music. Longing to write music, Tamir switched into the classical stream to pursue composition, finishing his degree in 2025.

Tamir has scored many short films, including the award winning short Storm of the Millennium! which won best short at East Village New York Film Festival, among others.

Tamir's concert music has been performed as part of the inaugural season of Contemporary Music Interactive and his piece Materia for Orchestra is the 2025/2026 winner of the Dr. Michael Matthews prize for composition. Tamir continues to seek out opportunities to have his music performed, with many exciting opportunities and collaborations presenting themselves in 2026.

A particular area of interest for Tamir is the music of Video games, which he is deeply invested in. Tamir has a had a love for the medium and its music since he was a young child and has always wanted to be a part of the process. Tamir is working on a number of projects with Binding Pact Games and continues to search for more opportunities to be involved in Gaming projects.
